A gorgeous Thierry Mugler two-piece suit. The double-breasted jacket features a wide, deep curved collar, nipped-in waist, and wider hips accented with pockets. The jacket closes with sculptural silver snap buttons. Seams on the front and back of the jacket as well as the sleeves contribute to its curvy shape. The rounded shoulders are shaped with soft shoulder pads.
The matching skirt (knee-length or just below depending on one's height) has a straight silhouette with an-off center 9-inch slit on the left. Like the jacket, seams give it shape, particularly in the back where a curved seam echoes the slightly curved back waist, which is cut a bit lower than the front waist. It closes with a side zipper. Both the jacket and skirt are lined.
